How do students choose their PI (US or Canadian Professor) at IRI?
In the Introduction to Research Programs, students’ essays are used to select the best faculty from those who are teaching that Intro program at that time. For the Research Assistant programs, students interview the faculty and can select a faculty that matches their objectives. You can help coach your student to select the PI that best matches their academic objectives.

What universities do IRI faculty come from?
All IRI faculty (PI’s) have professor appointments at US or Canadian universities. If your child is enrolled in the RA program, they will be able to select the professor that most closely matches their interests, and might even be able to select a PI from one of the universities they wish to attend.
